Anxiety is a motivator for dogs & humans!
As someone who has always struggled with anxiety, I’ve always felt like I was different than most. Constantly putting myself down, thinking why couldn’t I have a normal brain?! I now realize having anxiety might mean I’m not pushing myself to my fullest potential. I think of it like dogs. An extremely capable dog who’s locked inside all day turns into an anxious mess because they’re not doing what they’re meant & bred to be doing. A dog with a purpose and a dog who is productive has little or no anxiety. Yes, we often need additional support to change our way of thinking, just like dogs. Having anxiety is not a burden, it’s a motivator!! Anxiety means your brain is so powerful that it’s misfiring in a way because it’s not working at it’s full potential. If you wouldn’t treat your companion that way, don’t treat yourself that way! You and your canine are strong so don’t bottle up your potential.
